Fees
Therapy
sessions are billed at $105 per 45 minute session, though a $20 discount (per session) is available to families who pay for
3 or more sessions in advance.
The cost of an evaluation varies depending on how much time it takes to do the 1-on-1
testing with your child. This will depend on how much testing is needed, the age of the age, and the child's approach
to test tasks (e.g., impulsive vs. hesitant). Payment for evaluations is divided into 2 or 3 payments, depending on
the number of sessions scheduled (i.e., intake, testing day, feedback sesssion). Please contact Dr. Blakeman for more
specific information about testing fees.
Payment
ACSS, Inc. accepts payment in
the form of cash or check. Payment is due at the time services are provided. A discount is available for therapy
services when families pay for sessions in advance. Fees for evaluations can be divided into payments. Families
pay $130 the day of the initial appointment, which is the diagnostic interview and planning session. At the end of the
second appointment (i.e., the day of testing), families pay half of the remaining balance of the evaluation. The remaining
balance is due the day of the feedback session.
ACSS, Inc. does not directly bill insurance for any services for
provided. Most insurance plans do not cover comprehensive testing for learning disabilities, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum
Disorders. At the conclusion of each evaluation, families receive a receipt for services that includes the procedural
and diagnostic codes used by the insurance company; you may submit this receipt to your insurance company in an attempt to
seek reimbursement. However, it is important that you speak with your insurance provider prior to conducting an
evaluation, if reimbursement is critical to your decision to schedule the evaluaiton.
Upon request, receipts for therapy services will also be provided.
Even if
your insurance company will not reimburse you for services, you may be able to apply the evaluation costs to your Flex Spending
Account through your employer.
